Although I enjoy making homemade, diabetic-friendly, snacks, meals, and treats whenever possible, there are definitely times when the convenience of grab-and-go items wins out, and that’s why I am constantly on the lookout for new diabetic-friendly products to try.
We recently had the opportunity to try out a Flavor Flight of Bounce Balls– delicious, high-protein, energy balls.
C plays year-round soccer, and is trying out some other sports this year, so he is a very active young boy. These are the perfect pre-practice/pre-game snack to help him power through, and also help keep his blood sugar hanging steady.
Bounce Balls are comprised of simple ingredients, are gluten-free, and non-GMO. They also contain no artificial colors, flavors, or preservatives.
C’s favorite flavor is Vanilla Almond, with Superberry being a close second. The Vanilla Almond Ball has 9 grams of sugar, 8 grams of protein, and 6 grams of fiber. One ball has 20 carbs. The other flavors have similar nutritional values, but may vary slightly, but you can check out their website to see all of the flavors, along with the nutritional information.
If you to have type 1 kiddos that are involved in sports/activities, this is an excellent snack option for them! Bounce Balls are delicious and nutritious rolled together.
