Basic Plum Baby Puree

Plum Collage-1

You’ve started introducing your little one to solids and he/she loves them, but many times those first foods can disrupt baby’s digestive system. It’s only natural that a tummy that has previously only been exposed to breast milk/formula may have a little difficulty adjusting to this new diet. To alleviate this, you can incorporate plums into their diet to help them become more regular. They’re also just super yummy and good for them!

The Goodness of Plums for Baby Food

One thing that all varieties of plums have in common is that they are very nutritious. Plums are high in fiber, low in cholesterol, sodium free and rich in Vitamin A & Vitamin C. Like other fruits that are high in fiber, plums are great aids in reducing the risks of cancer and heart attack and sustaining healthy cholesterol levels. As plums are high in fiber and natural sugars, they help maintain bowel regularity. Plums and prunes are great to help with constipation.

Plum Collage-2

My daughter is turning 1 in just a few days, so I have recently begun mixing her purees with other “big girl” foods. For instance, I now mix her plum puree with vanilla yogurt, etc., for added nutrition and flavor. As always, I puree everything in my Beaba Babycook Pro.
