Friday Featured Lunch 10.31.14

I pack my son a fresh school lunch every day. Each Friday, I pick one lunch from the week to share with you- the Friday Featured Lunch. These featured lunches are meant to give you inspiration of new things to make and try with your kids. Plus, all featured lunches include the carbohydrate breakdown of each food item, so that you can easily add/remove items to accommodate your child’s likes/dislikes.

Halloween Lunches 2013

Happy Halloween! For this week’s Friday Featured Lunch I am sharing two festive lunches from last year.

The 1st lunch is packed in EasyLunchboxes:

Pumpkin Waffle=24 carbs
Blackberries=2 carbs
Strawberries=4 carbs
Kroger CARBmaster Yogurt Cup=4 carbs
Bacon=0 carbs
Banana Ghost (¼ banana, 2 mini chocolate chips)=8 carbs
Carrots=1 carb

Lunch total=43 carbohydrates

The 2nd lunch is packed in a PlanetBox:

Pizza Quesadilla (2 Mission Carb Balance Whole Wheat Small Tortillas that have pizza sauce spread on it, topped with pizza blend shredded cheese, and mini pepperonis and cooked on a stove-top until tortilla is crispy and cheese is melted)=17 carbs
Candy Corn Dessert (pineapple, cantaloupe, topped with Lite Cool Whip=11 carbs
Carrot Chips=1 carb
Strawberries=2 carbs
½oz Veggie Straws=5 carbs
Chobani Champions Yogurt Tube=9 carbs
Sun-Maid Strawberry Greek Yogurt Raisins=5 carbs

Lunch Total= 50 carbohydrates
