Friday Featured Lunch 12.27.13

I pack my son a fresh school lunch every day. Each Friday, I pick one lunch from the week to share with you- the Friday Featured Lunch. These featured lunches are meant to give you inspiration of new things to make and try with your kids. Plus, all featured lunches include the carbohydrate breakdown of each food item, so that you can easily add/remove items to accommodate your child’s likes/dislikes.


Here is this week’s featured lunch, packed in a Yumbox:

Cinnamon Roll Sushi (1 slice of bread, thinned out with a rolling pin, and spread with 1 T. of whipped cream cheese, drizzled with approximately 1 t. honey, sprinkled with cinnamon, rolled up and sliced into “sushi” rolls)= 19 carbs
1/2 serving Annie’s Homegrown Cheddar Snack Mix= 9 carbs
siggi’s Yogurt Tube= 7 carbs
Grape Tomatoes= 2 carbs
Strawberries= 3 carbs
Blueberries= 2 carbs
Carrots= 2 carbs

Lunch Total= 44 carbohydrates
